The Motor also comes with the Moto Moto G9, the latest in its mid-range phone line for the Moto G model – or currently the handset is only available in India, so the rest of us will have to wait a while before getting orders in.
Phone details and their variations were released in recent weeks, but now everything is legal. The Moto G9 comes with a Snapdragon 662 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage (which you can expand with a MicroSD card).
So far, in the middle of the range, but the larger 5,000mAh battery is above average. The phone comes with a 6.5-inch, 1600 x 720 LCD display, one of which is interrupted only by a teardrop notch on top.
For photography purposes, there is a three-lens rear camera with a 48MP main snapper combined with 2MP depth and 2MP macro cameras – while the selfie camera is a standard 8MP unit. Do not expect miracles, but they must do the work.
A waiting game
To spread the specs, you get a fingerprint scanner on the back, a USB-C port at the bottom (which supports 20W fast charging), and a large jackphone, so you can continue to use your mobile phones. The phone comes with Android 10 on board.
The Moto G9 is heading to India first, where it will be available at Forest Green or Sapphire Blue for Rs 11,499 – that’s about $ 155 / £ 120 / OR $ 215, although a direct currency conversion may be unexpected. The sale date is August 31st.
While we are not guaranteed availability and international prices, Motorola phones often launch in many markets around the world eventually (although they often have different names). In the meantime we will have to wait and see when the Moto G9 expands beyond India.
But if you can’t wait, it’s important to note that the new phone is actually not all different from the Moto G8 that came out earlier in the year – they blend closely in terms of internal specs, though the Moto G9 has great battery power and fast charging speed twice as fast.
